Covid-19 Safety Plan

The following extra-precautions are being implemented in our clinic to mitigate the risk to patients and staff during the COVID-19 pandemic. These protocols are in-line with Best Practices as outlined by the College of Dental Surgeons of British Columbia (CDSBC), the British Columbia Dental Association (BCDA), WorkSafe BC and the PHO of B.C. We look forward to treating our patients and are committed to the health and safety of everyone who visits our office.

 • Pre–screening of patients prior to their appointment with us.
 • Deferral of treatment for any patients suspected of having COVID-19, recent exposed to COVID-19 or those who have travelled outside of Canada within 14 days.
 • Importantly, increased office airflow via opening many windows and at the same time running the air conditioner.
 • Record kept (date/time) of people who drop in the office for example FedEx delivery persons, caretakers, etc.
 • Staff screening; no staff is present in the clinic if they exhibit any signs/symptoms of illness.
 • Less chairs in our waiting room, chairs have been spaced out.
 • Physical distancing of staff where possible i.e. staggered lunches when possible.
 • Removal of all magazines and play area.
 • Plexi-glass barriers placed in our reception area.
 • Hand sanitation protocols for patients upon entry and exit of the clinic.
 • The optional use of a 1% hydrogen peroxide oral rinse prior to any treatment.
 • Enhanced disinfection protocols of the reception area and high contact areas with Lysol, Cavicide, or bleach solutions.
 • Hand washing etiquette documentation posted.
 • Process for staff to report any safety concerns/exposure/illness concerns.
 • Proper disinfection of all surfaces in the operatories after each patient is seen.
 • Enhanced PPE for all staff (gowns/lab coats, goggles, face shields, protective eyewear, respirator masks, fit testing, optional hairnets and booties).
 • Under dentist’s discretion contactless temperature checks when deem suitable.
 • Masks available for patients upon request.

Our team is happy to discuss any questions you may have. Due to the enhanced protocols we may book extra time for certain procedures and will try our best to stay on time, however, sometimes this may be difficult and we would like to thank you in advance for your understanding, it is much appreciated.
